Biserka Toy Factory

Biserka Toy Factory

Biserka Toy Factory was one of the oldest and most famous toy factories in the Republic of Croatia.

What made this factory particularly valuable was the fact that they held a license from The Walt Disney Company. It allowed them to manufacture and distribute Disney characters that became ubiquitous, adored and much-desired toys in the second half of the 20th century.

In addition to rubber figures, which were hand-painted and thus unique, Biserka also produced dolls, social games, as well as a wide range of various balls for playing, an inevitable part of everyone’s childhood in the second half of the 20th century.

After 1990, the factory gradually slowed down its activities and was completely dissolved at the beginning of the new millennium. It is, however, a special feeling, and somewhat nostalgic to see a child today holding or playing with a still distinctive Biserka toy passed on to it by its parents or even grandparents.
